Filter Design Project using Matlab and Multisim This project includes design, implementation, and verification of band pass filters and a band reject filers using active devises. In this project, you need to minimize the number of active devices used. In the Bode plots, please mark the cutoff frequencies and pass band gain. Please report introduction, theory, design procedures, Matlab simulation results, circuit schematics, and MultiSim simulation results and discussion/conclusion. 1. Specification of Band Pass Filter a. Pass Band Voltage Gain=6dB b. Cutoff Frequencies: Fc1= 50kHz, Fc2 = 500kHz (1) Design of the sixth order band pass filter using a cascade method. The order of low pass filter is 3 and that of high pass is also 3. To verify your design, please code your transfer function and draw the Bode plot of it using Matlab. Then, perform Multisim simulation. (2) Design of the sixth order Butterworth band pass filter. The order of low pass filter is 3 and that of high pass filter is also 3. To verify your design, please code your transfer function and draw the Bode plot of it using Matlab. Then, perform Multisim simulation. (3) Compare the two results in the Bode Plot. Please discuss characteristics of each filter. 2. Specification of Band Reject Filter a. Pass Band Gain = 10dB b. Cutoff Frequencies: Fc1 = 30kHz, Fc2 = 450kHz c. Minimum attenuation at 100kHz = - 10dB (1) Design a band reject filter using a cascade method. You need to determine the order of your transfer function. To verify your design, please code your transfer function and draw the Bode plot of it using Matlab first. Then, please perform Multisim simulation. Please mark the gain at 100 KHz. (2) Design a Butterworth band reject pass filter. You need to determine the order of your transfer function. To verify your design, please code your transfer function and draw the Bode plot of it using Matlab. Then, please perform Multisim simulation. Please mark the gain at 100 KHz. (3) Compare the two graphs in the Bode Plot. Please discuss characteristics of each filter. For the Multisim simulation, please sweep the frequency up to 10Mhz and observe the result. If the Multisim result does not match with Matlab simulation, please discuss the reason.
