# Need statistics analysis for raw data for grad research thesis.

Research is based on three materials used to obtain latent prints.  60 samples in total split between 2 substrates (flat, curved) and 3 casting materials (AccuTrans, Polymer, Elmers).  My hypothesis was the AccuTrans would outperform the other two materials, null hypothesis would be no substantial difference between the three.  I am terrible with math and analysis, so I am unsure what information can be derived.  I know I need to know if there is variation between the samples, and whatever else can be explained.

My research questions are as follows:

1.     Is there significant variation in the number of observable characteristics of develop latent prints collected with AccuTransÂ®, First Contactâ¢ polymer solution, and ElmerâsÂ® glue?

2.      Do one of the casting materials provide a substantially higher number of observable characteristics on either the simple or complex substrates?  Is there an ascertainable order which can be assigned to the materials based on performance on either substrate?

3.     Is there significant variation between the observable levels of friction ridge detail between the casting materials or the substrates?
