This project is to find the propagation time delays for three different adders. Assume 3.5 ns delays for every gate (exclude inverters) in the circuit. Task 1 (20 pt.):
Design following 32-bit adders,
a). a Ripple Carry Adder
b). a Carry Look-Ahead Adder
c). a Serial Adder using 1-bit full adder,
and 2 serial shift registers with parallel load input with 1GHz clock

1 ECEN 6934 Computer Project I (50 pt.) Spring 2020 Due February 5th, 2020 Time Delays for 32-bit Binary Adders This project is to find the propagation time delays for three different adders. Assume 3.5 ns delays for every gate (exclude inverters) in the circuit. Task 1 (20 pt.): Design following 32-bit adders, a). a Ripple Carry Adder b). a Carry Look-Ahead Adder c). a Serial Adder using 1-bit full adder, and 2 serial shift registers with parallel load input with 1GHz clock Fig. 1 the 32-bit adder where A[0..31], B[0..31], and Cin are the inputs. C[0..31], overflow, and cout are outputs. Task 2 (20 pt.): Write the VHDL codes for all three adders, and simulate the adders with ModelSim or Vivado. Show the propagation time delays for these three adders. Task 3 (10 pt.): Implement all three adders with FPGA. Compare the hardware implementations, such as the number of logic cell used, worst case time delays, etc. Material for submission: 1. Formal report to show your designs, see detail requirements below. 2. Email the VHDL files to the instructor Note: Report should consist of the following: Cover Sheet: The cover sheet should include your name, course name, etc. Abstract: The abstract is a brief (50-150 words) summary of your report. The project goals, major results, and/or conclusions should be stated in the abstract. Body of the Report: The body of the report should begin with an INTRODUCTION and end with a CONCLUSIONS section. The remainder of the report should be divided into several named sections as appropriate. References: As appropriate, include a list of reference material used in preparing your report. References should be listed in the order they were cited in the report. Figures: Figures should be legible and have an appropriate figure number and caption. Label the axes properly and include legend if two or more signals are plotted. Numbers: All pages are to be numbered with the exception of the cover sheet.
