The probability that a patient will experience an adverse event is 0.10 (10%). We want to size the study so that we have a sufficient number of patients to be sure (in this case, with 90% probability) to see at least one adverse event. What is the minimum number of subjects needed to observe at least one adverse event with a probability of at least 90%? So I know that P=0.1 P(X ≤ 1) = 0.90 I need to find n (minimum sample size) I have to use a cumulative binomial table to find the answer. The answer choices are: 20 25 23 21 24 22
